After our cast-on, it’s time to work the Picot Pattern stitch.
The first ten rows are very straightforward. After you complete row 10, be sure to undo your provisional cast on and place all your stitches on a spare needle.
This step is important because you are about to create a picot hem, by knitting row 11 together with row 1.
After you finish working row 11 with row 1 your beautiful picot hem will be complete.

For row 12 you simply purl across the fabric, just be sure to decrease one stitch so that the lace pattern has the appropriate number of stitches.
