The September Circle by Melissa LaBarre
Knit with Spud & Chloë Fine in Goldfish (7817) and Sidewalk (7822).
There is a simple modification on this cowl to make stripes occur in a logical place within the lace.
Knit rows 1-9 in Goldfish and then switch to Sidewalk. After completing row 9 of the chart is when you switch colors.
This way the color change occurs where the lace peaks.
With all the talk of Tangerine Tango, the 2012 Color of the Year, I couldn’t resist infusing my own wardrobe with some kicky orange.
I love how Goldfish and Sidewalk look together, Sidewalk makes the scarf fit with much more of my wardrobe.
The lace pattern is easy to memorize and if you haven’t worked with a chart yet, this pattern is a good place to start.
This project was so great that when a friend wanted one too, it was no problem to make a second one!
Have you added touches of Tangerine Tango to your wardrobe?
