Hi Spud & Chloë Friends,
I want to get this tutorial on the provisional cast on up for you before I post the pattern for the Outer blanket. That way you can start right away even if you don’t know how to do the provisional cast on. It is a technique that is used quite a bit so it is a good one to have in your back pocket.
Now, off to work on finishing up the blanket! I can’t wait to have it all together.
I’ll be back soon with more…

Susan,
You are so talented at demonstrating those daunting techniques and making them look like fun! Now I have to find a pattern that requires this cast on method and try my hand at it! Thanks!
Thank you, Lee. Teaching is my first love and I am glad I get to do a bit of it online.
Thanks for the great demonstration. I have a few patterns that I’m keen to try that call for a provisional cast on and I’d never heard of it before. This was so easy to understand.
Best description of the provisional cast on I’ve ever seen. Now…there are some patterns I will make that I’ve avoided in the past. Thanks!
Susan, I love your videos!! You’re an excellent teacher!! But your attitude and personality show your love and excitement for knitting! And you pass that on to us!! Thank you for a great knitting lesson and a bright start to the day!! Knit On!!!
Thank you! Provisional cast on really makes joining work so well. This was a great video.
Wow, you make it look so easy!
It really is easy!
Very helpful, thanks. I really appreciate that you used large-sized yarn, needles and crochet hook for the demo.
