Hi Spud & Chloë Friends,
I was happy to see Wendy’s final version of the Easy Top-Down Raglan Knitalong sweater. She posted it on the Friends of Spud & Chloë forum on Ravelry over the weekend. Wendy made a boatneck version in Spud & Chloë Sweater in Chipmunk and using her formula from the back of her book, Custom Knits. She added some darts on the front to add shaping, too. Here is Wendy’s comment from the forum thread:
“I finished mine! I love it! (But then again, I wrote the recipe!)
Still, I’m so happy to have been a part of this. It turned out just like I wanted it to: Semi-fitted, longer sleeves, room for tucking my arms in or layering. Boatneck. Hooray! Thanks, Susan, for hosting this KAL.”
Thanks to Wendy for all of her help and for sharing her progress and finished sweater. It was fun!
I have lots in store for you this week. I finished the striped arm/hand warmers (I need a name for them obviously) over the weekend and will get that pattern posted in the next couple of days. Also, I have a fun giveaway up my sleeve for this week. Be sure to check back to get the details.

I love top down knitting, makes a great fitting sweater and so many ways to work in a design if you like. Gonna have a hard time going back to knitting sweaters in pieces and sewing them together.
that looks good.
How about naming the pattern “Up My Sleeve”? It seems you may have came up with the idea here…”a fun giveaway up my sleeve for this week.”
I look forward to reading the pattern and perhaps trying to knit it too. ~~Ramona
Cute idea!
Oh, it’s beautiful! I’m still working on my sweater …I’ve been busy Christmas knitting; so I put my sweater away for awhile!
I hope to get back to it my the first of November.
Thank you and Wendy too, for hosting such a wonderful knit
a long! I learned a lot and it was super fun! Thank you!
iT IS gORGEOUS. DOES THE PATTERN COME IN EXTRA LARGE?
It is a made to fit as you go sweater that we did as a knitalong using a formula so there isn’t a written up pattern.
Yes, this is great! I love the lenght, this is just perfect. The right lenght for the sleeves, the right and perfect lenght for the sweater! thank you for sharing!
