Hi Spud & Chloë Friends,
Well, it really has been one full year of Spud & Chloë at this point. At the 2009 TNNA (The National Needlearts Association) Spud & Chloë bounced onto the fiber scene with a bang and has been going strong ever since. This second year got off to a great start again. With our new yarn colors and patterns on display shop owners can see in person our products and place orders for their local and online yarn shops. TNNA is a treat to attend for the fiber industry people as it is a fun social event for old and new friends alike.
Anyway, for those of you who didn’t get to attend and those of you who aren’t directly in the fiber industry, I want to share a couple of photos of the Spud & Chloë booth. This booth is worked on throughout the year and every last detail is thoroughly considered. That’s not surprising considering Spud & Chloë is the new branch of the tried and true Blue Sky Alpacas brand. Blue Sky has always been known for meticulous and beautiful products, packaging and design. Although Spud & Chloë is a little more light-hearted and playful in spirit at times the same thoughtfulness is brought to this brand as well.
The Spud & Chloë booth was just as adorable as you’d expect. The theme for the Spud & Chloë side of the booth was a good old-fashioned washroom. Just take a good look around that comfy, cozy space above. There is a lot going on. Don’t you feel like sitting down and staying awhile? I do. I love the Three Brrr Bears perched on top of the armoire, the clothesline with baby pants and tiny sweaters, the Popsicle Socks and Pack o Puppies peeking out of drawers… There is so much to see but in a clean and easy way.
The poster on the wall is for the new Buga Baby Bunting, which knits up in a hurry with 4 skeins of Outer. There are many more new patterns for a boy’s sweater, a man’s sweater, a gorgeous throw, a lovely fair isle yoked women’s sweater and more. Be sure to check out all of our patterns here.
To locate a shop or online shop carrying the new yarn colors and patterns please check out our Stockists page. It is so helpful and the best place to start to find the places where you can purchase all of these items either locally or online.

I want to quickly share a couple of shots of the Blue Sky Alpacas side of the booth as well. The theme here was boudoir and it came across beautifully. There are fresh, fun fiber-y ideas everywhere you turn. The booth makes the patterns come to life. You can gather ideas on how you could use your knits in your own home or shop.

That coverlet is one of my favorite things every! Love it. Look at those colors and knits and mittens and sweaters and of course, yarn! It is so rich looking in there.
In honor of our first year together, we are pulling together a spectacular giveaway for you. I am so excited about it. Check back soon to make sure you don’t miss out. It’s going to be a good one. I promise.

very beautiful, and calm, love it, it looked perfct.
I have a question about Buga Baby Bunting pattern…I bought the pattern and it says it needs 4 hanks, but you said it only takes 3. I have 3 now, so I’d really like to know if I can get by with the 3 I have or if I really need to order another hank. Thanks for your reply! Debbie
I just saw that. I thought it was three hanks but I would definitely go by the pattern and get 4 hanks. I am going to change that right now in the post!
Thanks!
