I am so excited to have finished seaming all of the squares for the Dream Catcher Baby Blanket today! I love it.
I’ll be back soon with a border. I am not sure what I am doing for the border yet but I’ll keep you posted.

So beautiful! I think this is the perfect summer time project (I’m envisioning some quality time in front of the bonfire with my little square du jour). For a border, I think a variation of your leaf bookmark/scarf in the grass colour would make this extra sweet and tie in the citrus-y feel!

What a lovely blanket! Just wondering what your thoughts on blocking are. I’ve always been kind of intimidated by it and also unsure of when it’s needed. I don’t see it addressed too often on the knitting blogs I follow. Maybe some time you could post some of your thoughts on this. As always, love your work!
Hi! I am making this right now for my sister-in-law, who is pregnant — I just started the blackberry stitch pattern and finished the first square last night — I had no problem making the pattern at all, but it came out a tad wider (maybe a half inch or more) than the first 5 squares I made (the Harris Tweed) — should I adjust the pattern? Or just assume that when I seam them all together that little half inch won’t matter so much? I have to presume it’s a bit wider because of the increases/decreases every other row — it certainly uses a LOT more yarn! Thanks for any help you can give… I am thinking I may try one of the alternate patterns you gave for square #2 instead… I don’t really want some oddball sizes.

If you like that blackberry stitch pattern and want to keep it, it won’t matter at all because you can go in a couple of stitches on each side instead on one stitch when you are seaming up the sides. It won’t be noticeable at all on the backside either. It’s up to you!
Thank you! I think I’ll keep with the blackberry stitch — it’s SO cute! I’ll send a pic of the blanket when I’m finished with it — and can’t wait to see what you decide for the border…

Love your tea set! Thanks for sharing. I did a knitted Matryoshka in my Itty-Bitty Toy book so I enjoyed looking at your crocheted version of the dolls, too.
