Bobbi Bear is Outer This World

Hi Spud & Chloë Friends,

I want to make sure you all saw this fantastic use of Outer. One of my favorite sites, The Purl Bee, shared this wonderful version of a Blue Sky Alpacas pattern by Bobbi Intveld. The original Bobbi Bear is knit up in Blue Sky Bulky, which is another fantatstic yarn. Our Outer is a perfect washable substitute and is the same super bulky weight as the Blue Sky Bulky. What a great idea.

I love it that they knitted up the bear in the Sequoia colorway of Outer. It’s a little out of the box and the bear looks so adorable! Bobbi Bear is so huge and squishy looking. Love it. The little girl holding the bear is pretty darn cute, too.

Jen knitted up her Outer Bobbi Bear for her new baby on the way. Congratulations to Jen and to the other expectant Purl Soho mothers she mentions in the post. Your bear is the perfect way to kick off your baby knitting. Thank for sharing. Purlsoho is a great spot to pick up all of your Blue Sky Alpacas and Spud & Chloë yarns and patterns and products either at the shop (can’t wait to see the new location) or online.

I will be in NYC at the end of this week and weekend. I’ll be at my publisher’s office which isn’t too far from the shop so I hope I can pop in for a while to enjoy a little yarn and fabric-filled shopping. Looking forward to it.

    food places to try if you have time:
    le pain quotodien is fabulous and has locations all over the city
    and for a larger budget alfredo’s near rock center is fabulous. but most of the food in nyc is amazing. those are favs from when i lived there.

    Love Purl Soho. Hope you have a great time in NYC! There’s a great sandwich shop near Purl, if you’re there at lunchtime: Alidoro (105 Sullivan St.).

    I’ve never seen a knitted teddy bear, and this one is just darling! I’m in love. The giant size is so wonderful. Thanks for the smile. Of course now I want one for myself (I’m 41.) ;)
