Hi Spud & Chloë Friends,
I spent a recent mini-vacation with my good friend, Fine. I started an incredibly fun and simple pair of stripey slouch socks using lots of colors of Fine. The socks are going to be included in the Spud & Chloë pattern line in the future so you are getting a sneak peek here. I had posted a picture of the unfinished sock on my other blog and received loads of emails asking about the yarn being used in the socks. Well, now you know. Start stocking up and saving your Fine left overs. You are going to love these.
In other news, my son’s birthday is this weekend, he’s turning sixteen. He’s the one who asked for the Track Jacket. I’ve got a good start on it but I’ve had a ton of other projects due lately so it has been put on hold. I asked him for some gift ideas for his birthday so he wrote out a list for me. Guess what is number one on the list? The Track Jacket. I am only on the left front… uh, oh, not good. I’m definitely not on track with this project.
There are a couple of new patterns up on Ravelry using the Spud & Chloë yarns. I thought you might like to check them out here and here. Both are scarf patterns and both use Outer and the patterns are for purchase. I like both of these scarves very much and thought you might, too.
There is also a Ravelry link for Rabbit. I love seeing finished projects for a new pattern start popping up. Good fun.
Okay, friends, I am just checking in briefly this morning. Hope all is well in your world today. I am furiously working on a new toy pattern for the Spud & Chloë pattern line. It is super fun and will come in three different sizes. The largest size is a BIG toy, the biggest I have ever made, like the size of a big baby. It is fun to hold and hug. The other sizes are more medium and small, all are good. Since I am knitting my pattern over and over (I almost have the whole thing memorized) to make all three sizes, I can attest that it is a fairly simple pattern to achieve some fantastic results. Can’t wait for you to see it!
Back to work for me.
